I love this time of year and all the changes that brings. The cool winds are blowing in, the colours are becoming deeper, and every once in a while a crispy leaf swirls all around me as I walk Lola down the street. This year feels odd as it is the first of many I have not started in the classroom. Hopefully that will change soon, as I miss teaching so very much.
More changes are about as Jer and I take serious steps towards beginning our own family. We have been struggling with infertility for many years now and through many steps and hurdles, we are now booked in to see a fertility specialist at the end of the month. In the the mean time we have been going through a myriad of unpleasant tests, but I feel lucky to have found a wonderful support system in an online message board. We're hoping for a 2012 baby. That would be oh, so wonderful.
Today I will leave you with a picture from the 2011 Toronto Westie Walk. I was the photographer again (no professional, just a girl with a camera will to take pictures for free), and it was so much fun! These Westie races are always my favourite part.
