In the Garden

The seedlings have been growing like crazy, some were re-potted into larger containers to tide them over until they can be moved to the garden.

Some seeds were sown into the raised beds - two types of peas, carrots, radishes, beets, and zucchini.

Some plants were moved into the beds. It's still a tad early, especially since this week has been quite chilly, but I had surgery yesterday and wanted to get a couple things in knowing I could be out of commission for a few weeks.

We've had our fair share of visitors - many different birds (I even spotted a humming bird), squirrels of all shapes and sizes, fat and fuzzy bumble bees, some neighbourhood cats, and a couple ducks took a rest by my neighbour's pool for a couple of days.

A mother's day gift of three hanging strawberry baskets were added to the backyard. Two strawberries have been harvested so far, the first of which going to my baby bird..
He loved it! I cannot wait to harvest more berries for this little guy over the summer months.
